A sick mind is the main factor in all complicated disorders afflicting the body. The immediate urgency lies in effecting corrections at different levels of the mind. Once this is achieved, the cure of diseases will follow automatically. We are presenting here symptoms of some of the chronic ailments (considered as incurable by medical sciences) and the successful results of our Yoga Treatment.
- Mental Depression
- Diseases of the Heart and Blood Vessels
- Hypertension
- Gastric disorders and Peptic Ulcer
- Back pain, Slipped disc and Sciatica
- Cervical Spondylitis
- Diabetes
- Arthritis
- Asthma and other respiratory problems
- Pregnancy related problems
Mental Depression
This disease is spreading like wild-fire, destroying in its path many precious and promising lives. Its symptoms may vary from feeling of slight sadness to utter misery and dejection. It is the most unpleasant experience a person can go through and is far more difficult to cope with than physical problems.
Mental Depression silently attacks various vital systems and organs of the body as a computer virus that destroys the software as well as the hardware of the computer. Its victim suffers from multiple disorders. Some of the symptoms of Mental Depression are:
- Aches and pains all over the Body
- Feelings of acute sense of loss and inexplicable sadness
- Loss of energy and fatigue
- Guilt and oppressive feelings
- Sleeplessness, or oversleep resulting in exhaustion
- Giddiness and vomiting sensation
- Anger and Irritability
- Low body temperature
- Exhaustion
- Hot flushes and shivering
- Disinterest in life
- Fear, anxiety, suspicion and helplessness
- Swellings in the body
- Improper bowel movements
- Gastric problems
- Fluctuating Blood Pressure (B.P.)
- Fluctuating Sugar levels (Diabetes)
- Hormone imbalances
- Low self-esteem
- Lack of concentration
- Declining memory power
- Sinusitis
- Dust allergy
- Breathlessness
- Headache
- Skin allergies
In an aggravated state, this disease projects symptoms of diabetes, hypertension, hardening of the blood vessels, peptic ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, eczema, psoriasis, asthma, back pain, spondylitis etc. A host of diseases like this can easily disable the patient.
Once the Mental Depression is cured, all the symptoms like Diabetes, B.P., etc will vanish automatically. On the other hand, if the Mental Depression is not resolved, the diseases will remain permanently in the body. Serious efforts are being made by doctors and scientists to tackle this problem without much success.

He was under the treatment of a famous neuroglogist in Bangalore. He took 10 tablets daily for different problems. He was also using the inhaler.
Results of Yoga Treatment:
During the 1st session of treatment, he continued to give good feed back. When the session was over, he said he was feeling fine.
Surprisingly, he stopped all medicines on the same day itself without consulting the Yoga Therapists or his physician. On the 3rd day, he visited the Neurologist. Seeing his well-being and hearing about the Yoga Treatment and stoppage of medicines, the doctor was wonder-struck. He advised him not to stop all the medicines at once. Mr. Singh took the tablets on the 3rd day, listening to the advice of the doctor, for the last time.
He attended 8 treatment sessions. On the 7th day, incidentally on a rainy day, he engaged himself continuously for 6 hours, working inside the stores as well as outside work areas, finalized the accounts and handed over the charge to the new officer. On the 8th day of treatment, he gratefully acknowledged the services rendered to him. On the 9th day Mr. Singh left Bangalore to take up his new assignment.

Name: Mrs. Savitha (Name changed), Age 30 years, Occupation: Official in a State Government office.
Mrs. Savitha suffered from heart problems since 10 years. She had undergone Angioplasty surgery three years ago. However, it did not produce satisfactory results.
Problems Mrs. Savitha suffered from:
- Breathlessness cannot climb up steps or walk fast
- Restricted body movements
- Spondylitis Acute pain in the shoulders, back of the neck, and numbness on hands
- Swelling on lower part of the legs
- Headache
- Disturbed sleep
- Drowsiness
- Excess heat in the body
- Gastric problems
- Body Pain
- Exhaustion
- Lack of concentration and memory
- Uncontrollable thought formation
- Helplessness
- Smoke allergy and chest congestion
- Knee problems
- Obesity; tendency to eat always
Mrs. Savitha was taking 12 tablets daily apart from an injection, once in every 21 days, to prevent worsening of her shoulder pain.
During consultation, the Therapists decided that she may need 20 sessions because of the seriousness of the case. She was advised to take leave for 1 week during the initial period of treatment.
Result of Yoga Treatment:
- 1st day – 29th June – Relaxed well. She was sleeping on the whole day after returning home from the Treatment Centre.
- 2nd day – 30th June Headache considerably reduced
- 3rd day – 1st July – Feeling sleepy due to relaxation, slight headache
- 4th day – 3rd July – Getting good sleep in the night; lot of improvements
- 5th day – 5th July – No pains in the body; sleeping well.
- 6th day – 7th July – There was little swelling on the legs; sleep not O.K.
- 7th day – 9th July – Fine. No particular problem.
- 8th day – 13th July – O.K., No pains.
- 9th day – 15th July – Absolutely O.K.
- 10th day 21st July – Fine.
On the completion of the 10th session itself, she forgot about her pains and the difficulties of climbing up the stairs. She stopped all medicines and refused to take the injections despite doctors advice. Though young, she was the slowest person in her office. If any paper is fallen from her desk, others used to pick that up and give her. This situation changed. She was able to attend meetings and initiate follow up action, which she could not do earlier.
Despite all this improvement, her breathing had not come to normal which is a crucial factor in the curative aspect of the treatment. After the remaining 10 sessions, she was able to breathe properly.
At the end of the session, while thanking the Yoga Therapists, she said the Angioplasty could have been avoided had she known them earlier.
Hypertension
Abnormalities in the arteries or in the circulatory system cause systolic pressure to rise very high. At times, diastolic also rises. When Blood Pressure continues to remain excessively high, it causes various disorders like:
- Lack of strength
- Tiredness
- Headache
- Giddiness
- Difficulty in breathing
- Bad temper
- Vision problems
- Coldness in the hands and feet
The problems of Blood Pressure, either high or low, respond very well to Chandran’s Yoga. The treatment becomes more complicated, when it is associated with Diabetes, Asthma etc.

Mr. Ramaswamy was advised by the Therapists to take one week leave and concentrate upon the practice of Yogic techniques.
During the first session, (on 13th March) while undergoing the Yoga treatment itself, his pain on the legs was reduced. On the next day, he said that he was feeling good and also that he had thrown a challenge to his doctor that in one month he would become normal without medicines. The doctor cautioned him that because of the medicine given for swellings, the sugar level would go up. On the 5th session (21st March), the pain and swellings on the legs were reduced considerably. He was able to sit down and stand up in normal way. On the 6th session (1st April), Mr. Ramamurthy reported that his sugar level was reduced to 220 (PPBS). Arthritis
Symptoms
- Pain and swelling (Inflammation of the Synovial joints of the body)
- Redness, heat and loss of function in one or more joints
Areas most often affected:
- Weight bearing joints: Hips, Knees and Ankles
- Small joints like fingers
Causes
The supply of blood and lymphatic fluid becomes sluggish and the joint fluid grows stagnant. When this occurs, the waste products and poisons of cellular metabolism build up in the lubricating fluid of the joints. This irritates the sensitive nerve fibers in the joint causing pain and stiffness. If this continues for a longer period, the joint fluid dries up, soft cartilage lining corrodes and the bones begin to accumulate excessive calcium, forming new bone growth. The structure of the joint is destroyed, movement becomes impossible, pain and deformity arise and the sufferer eventually becomes crippled.
- Acute Arthritis
- Gout
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Osteoarthritis
When cold, flu, fevers and diarrhea occurs, the viral or bacterial toxins accumulate in the joint fluids
Formation of acid crystals in the joints due to dietary self-poisoning
Severe, crippling and rapidly progressive joint degeneration due to acute infection or administration of powerful drugs. The inflammatory reaction can destroy major joints and cripple the body. Young and middle aged people mainly suffer from this kind of arthritis.
This afflicts those who are over-weight and have avoided exercise in the past. This chronic degenerative arthritis is generally seen in middle and old aged people.
Case reference:
Chandran’s Yoga produces marvelous effects on the patients suffering from Arthritis including those cases where damages have taken places in hips or knees. An interesting case is presented here:
Name: Mrs. Anna Age: 52 years, Occupation: Housewife
Problems Mrs. Anna suffered from:
- Knee joints wearing out. Acute burning sensation and swellings on the knees.
- Swelling and pain on the lower part of the legs below the knees
- Varicose veins
- Obesity in 6 years, weight increased from 63 kgs to 76 kgs.
- Dust Allergy
- Asthma
- Menopause
Mrs. Anna was unable to walk even for short distances which the doctors had advised her to do everyday. She was told by the surgeon that knee replacement can be attempted only when she reaches 60 years. She had lost all hopes in her life. After the consultation, Mrs. Anna was advised to undergo 20 sessions for the cure of her problems.
In the first session itself, she remarked that God has brought her to this place for the treatment. On the second day, when she came for the treatment, her son said that his mother did not require massaging of her legs, which was a great relief for him as he had to toil up massaging the legs till the pains were reduced. On the 3rd day she was able to sit on the floor properly. She was able to use ordinary closet. In the 5th session (on the 9th day of the treatment) she said she was fine. She had good sleep; no pains; no dust allergy or asthma.
Mrs. Anna started walking long distances. She reported that whenever she overstrained, she felt pain on the legs. She attended 20 sessions over a period of 53 days. She could recover completely from her problems.
Asthma
Asthma is characterized by breathlessness as a result of spasm leading to wheezing, cough and suffocation. The airways are blocked by thick mucus secretions. The most common symptom of this disease is that the patient feels difficulty in breathing. There is strain in exhaling the air. An attack of Asthma may last for a few minutes, hours or even days causing physical, mental and emotional exhaustion.
Chandrans Yoga offers cure for Asthma. If the patient can co-operate by observing the instructions, an Asthma patient can, perhaps, relieve himself of his problems from the first day of treatment itself.
Case Reference:
Name: Priyadarshan (Name changed) Age: 13 years Occupation: Student of 7th Std.
Problems Mr. Priyadarshan was suffering from:
- Cough and vomiting followed by wheezing
- After bath gets wheezing
- Genetic predisposition father and grand father suffered from Asthma
- Wheezing occurs after excess of strain like carrying school bag etc
- Dust allergy

When the boy came for consultation, he was found to be suffering from breathlessness. He was taking tablets and using inhaler when needed.
Feed Back:
- 1st Session – He was getting more and more relief after each exercise
- 2nd Session (2nd day) There was no wheezing. But breathing was difficult
- 3rd Session (6th day) – Slight wheezing. Took tablet but not the inhaler. (Reason: Painting work at home.)
- 4th Session (8th day) – Reported 60% relief
- 5th Session (11th day) Reported 85% relief
- 6th Session (13th day) Reported 88% relief
- 7th Session (15th day) Reported 90% relief
- 8th Session (23rd day) – Reported 95% relief. Throat irritation if exposed to smoke
- 9th Session (26th day) Reported 98% relief. Lost a few Kgs of weight. Gained more strength and became agile.
- 10th Session (30th day) Fully fit.
Note: He did not show any signs of strain or disturbance during treatment. He found each physical or breathing exercise, more helpful and cooling to the lungs. He realized that his breathing was not proper but said, that was the only manner he could breathe earlier. Encouraged by his progress, he was taught Surya Namaskar (the Sun Salutation with 12 steps for each round of exercise). He performed 24 rounds of Surya Namaskar at one stretch. He was not tired and was ready to do some more rounds of Yoga.
Pregnancy
Chandran’s Yoga can provide the highest level of comforts to pregnant women. Much of the problems they suffer during pregnancy can be overcome through very simple exercises and breathings.

As she was already in her 6th month pregnancy and had not done any exercises earlier, a lot of care had to be taken while subjecting her to Yoga Treatment.
In the 1st Treatment Session, she could relax well. In the 2nd session, she informed that she felt fresh and fine. In the 4th session she told that there was no back pain and her sleep was good. Her breathing became normal. She felt fresh, relaxed and her joints were loosened up. Her confidence level was very high. The 10th session was over on the 55th day. Exactly after 28th day of the treatment, she delivered a female baby. The delivery was normal.
