DEVASIR
I am A. Devasir, aged 35 years, a businessman by profession. I am residing at No.7, Nanjundeswar Koil Street, Hosur-635109, Tamilnadu.
About 5 years back, when I was viewing the T.V., I felt a sudden and painful jerk at the lumbar region of my back, and after that I could not get up from the chair. This was the beginning of a harrowing struggle in the best part of my life.
HISTORY OF TREATMENT TAKEN BEFORE REACHING SRI MOOKAMBIKA YOGACURE CENTRE, BANGALORE-560016.
As my condition was very serious, I was taken to Chennai to a famous practitioner of General Medicine & Therapeutic Yoga, Dr. Krishna Raman, M.B.B.S., F.C.C.P., on 1.4.2003. The doctor precribed general medicines and suggested certain yogic exercises. I was in Chennai for one week. The pain had reduced. But when I returned home, the pain started increasing. After one week, when I reported back, the doctor prescribed pain killers and advised me not to practise the Asanas for a few days. The treatment however did not produce any satisfactory results.
I was managing with the pain for some time. When the pain increased further, I got admitted to St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore 560034 on 30,9,2004. The MRI Scanning revealed disc problems at L3-4, L4-5, L5-S1. I was put under traction. I was in the hospital for one week. The treatment did not produce any result. Then I was given an injection on the spine and was advised to go home. The pain started again after 2 days.
After this, I went to HOSMAT Hospital, Bangalore, where the doctor prescribed tablets and advised me to think that “I have no painâ€. They saw the problem from a psychological angle. The pain was real to me and I could not manage with it. This treatment did not work.
Then I went to Tirunelveli, my home town and consulted Dr. S. Ganesan, M.D., DCH., D.M.(Neuro), at Galaxy Hospitals, 110E/20/1, North By-pass Road, Vannarpet, Tirunelveli 627 003. I took one month’s treatment from him staying at Tirunelveli. The doctor tired out many tablets and exercises, but I could not get any relief from the recurring pain.
When I heard about a native system of treatment at Nelamangala, near Bangalore, where the treatment involved tying up of coin on the affected part, I visited the place and availed of the treatment. The treatment only increased my pain.
After this, I took treatment from Dr. Tamil Alagan, Acupuncture Specialist, at Naiveli. The doctor suggested a maximum of 6 Acupuncture Sittings (1 sitting consists of 10 sessions of ½ hr duration in a month and the treatment to be over in a period of 6 months), plus Yoga Asanas. At the time of treatment at Naiveli, I was feeling good. But when I came back to Hosur after completion of one sitting (10 sessions), the pain would gradually increase. In all I took 9 sittings. This gave me only temporary relief.

In July 2006, I took treatment from Dr. Rajesh B. Iyer, at Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore. After studying the latest MRI Scanning, the doctor suggested physiotheraphy for 6 months. This also gave me only temporary relief. The pain did not go completely. When I lifted a small weight or made a stroll, the pain would increase.
Then I visited SPARSH, Hospital for Accidents, Orthopaedics & Plastic Surgery, 29/P2, The Health City, Hosur Road, Bommasandra, Bangalore 560099, on 22.8.06. After studying my medical reports, the doctor concerned advised me to undergo surgery on the spine. I was not mentally prepared to undergo spinal surgery. I continued with the physio-therapy as suggested by Dr.Rajesh B. Iyer of Narayana Hrudayalaya. I was in a highly depressed state due to recurring pain and not finding a solution for my problem.
TREATMENT AT SRI MOOKAMBIKA YOGACURE CENTRE, BANGALORE 560016
In the first week of August 2008, one of my relations working in ITPL, Whitefield, Bangalore, telephoned me to inform that he heard about the Yogacure Centre through his friend who had come from Chennai to take Yoga treatment at the Centre. I visited the Yoga Treatment Centre along with my relation on the next day itself for Consultation.
During the consultation, the Yoga Specialists, Mr. M.A. Chandran and Mrs. Chandran, recorded all my physical and psychological problems in great detail. They told me that I suffered from acute mental depression and that was the reason why the pain was not going off completely despite medical treatment and physiotherapy. They promised me that much of my problems will cease to exist within a few days of the treatment and the remaining to be tackled over a period of time. I was asked to undergo 4 courses (1 course = 10 individual sittings of 1 hr duration with 3 weekly sittings on alternative days). I became very optimistic and was ready to travel to Bangalore covering about 110 kilometres to and fro, daily, for the treatment..
I was suffering from unbearable pain in the back shooting down to legs all the 24 hours a day. I also used to get severe headache every day and was short tempered perhaps due to the frustation of my endless sufferings.
The Yoga treatment commenced on 6.8.2008. On the 1st day of treatment itself, the headache stopped. It did not recur till this date.
On the 3rd day of treatment, the shooting pain at the legs stopped. I felt improvements day by day. After the 3rd course (after 30 sessions), the hip pain vanished. I was able to perform even difficult techniques with ease. Today (4.12.08) my 4th course of treatment comes to an end. As promised by the Yoga Specialists, today I am hail and hearty. I have no pain on any part of the body. Now, I can feel my mind is very calm and the body is strong and flexible. I place on record my deep gratitude for the sincerity, the dedication and the personal care taken by Mr.M.A. Chandran and Mrs.Chandran for curing my problems and making me a healthy person.. I will be happy to share my experiences with anybody who wishes to know about the treatment.
